Here we go again!

A new year, a new blog.

I was about to update my original fitness blog GettingSomethingDone but reconsidered. The words I wrote there are still important to me and a reminder of my “fitness spirit”. I want to be able to go back to this blog the way it is.

Therefore I added a sub blog to GettingSomethingDone: GettingSomethingDone2012.

So if you still care about my fitness journey follow GettingSomethingDone2012 and I will be happy to share my transition with you.

So here we go again!

It’s been months!

Life has been great to be honest.

Now that college starts I will have a structured day/week/life again and I kind of need this to get myself to live healthy.

But the main reason why I am back on this tumblr is because I have a new view on the injuries suffered from for the last 6 months or so. My achilles tendon is fine but the sesamoiditis I first only had in my right foot started causing me pain in the left one, too. My doctor told me to walk as little as possible. And by this he meant walking in the sense of getting from A to B, not sports. Of course I could have worked on my arms and upper body but that’s not my way of sports.. I need to run and jump! Since all the hopeless, painfull and most important useless treatments did not help at all my mother kind of forced a Canadian foot specialist she worked with to have a look at my feet. This genius gave me so many tips, treament possibilites,… But his basic statement was: Do sports! Of course I have to be careful and find a good way to train without doing more harm but I can be happy and fit again.

I will really need sports now that college started. I got into dentistry. This makes me really proud because it’s what I wanted so bad and there were more than 100 applications for one spot. But it actually is one of the most time-, money- and nervconsuming majors I could have chosen and I will need sport and love to balance all this out.

That also means that I will probably not be as overly active on this blog as I used to be. I want to use the little spare time I have to enjoy my life by meeting friends/family, working out, having fun. So eating helathy, doing the little everyday fitness tricks, tracking my intake,… will continue but I am not sure how much I will be able to share with you. I will try though because the fitness community on Tumblr is the best support system for me :)

So what’s new fitness-wise?

Not much. I am still around 61 kg/145 lbs. But since I didn’t really work out I lost most of my muscle tissue. So these 61 kg mean not the same as they did in June.

Due to this I will have to start from the scratch. No muscles, no fitness, no nothing. But I did this before and now I am over-motivated because I now know what I can do plus: I just want to moooooove now that I know I am not harming my body further with it! Determination, gurls and guys!

And to me the most important thing: I might not be as fit as a couple of months ago but I am more confident than ever. Not sure where it’s coming from but I just feel really good in my skin and this shows on the outside I think.

I have to update the about me/goals/rewards/.. pages. Especially the rewards page. I stated there that I gonna get a tattoo done but want to wait till I am down in the 50s. Screw that. I feel good and comfortable in my body so I got that tattoo weighing more than 58/55/53 kg. It’s not about the numbers! I finally got that for real.

I will also take a new picture for the before/after picture section just to let you guys (and myself) know where I am at, what I am working on and what changed besides the ink :)

Yay so excited!

But before I change all that outdated stuff on this page I will go to the gym. For the first time in months. With my amazing new shoes (don’t be fooled: my calves are are slim and easly toned.. sadly unlike the rest of my body ;D)

See you later, beloved fitblrs!

Yay!

Finally I added the pages about myself, my goals and my rewards. Let’s get this blog started!

Although I begun getting back on track in December I think April 14th changed this whole process a lot because I am waaaay more motivated and disciplined than before.

I try to post my food and fitness log along with my weight every day. If you think you can help me to improve my workout/eating or if you have any other input: http://gettingsomethingdone.tumblr.com/ask
